Film & Television Apps on iOS in Europe: Q3 2025 Performance

In the third quarter of 2025, the film and television app sector on iOS in Europe showcased intriguing trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, several apps stood out in terms of downloads and active user engagement.

myODEON from Odeon Cinemas Limited saw a varied performance in weekly downloads. Starting with approximately 10.8K downloads in early July, the app peaked at 13K mid-month before experiencing a gradual decline to 7.6K by the end of September. The app maintained a substantial weekly active user base, fluctuating between 279K and 352K throughout the quarter.

TodayTix – Broadway Tickets demonstrated a notable increase in downloads, reaching a high of 13.8K in mid-August, before settling at 9.3K by the quarter's end. Its active user metrics also showed a steady rise, peaking at 231K in August, and ending at 202K in September.

Cineworld Cinemas had a mixed download trajectory, starting at 6.9K, peaking at 8.9K in late July, and closing the quarter at 4.5K. The app's active users remained relatively stable, with numbers ranging from 125K to 170K, indicating consistent engagement.

Pathé France experienced fluctuating downloads, beginning at 11.3K and seeing a rise to 10.9K in mid-September, before ending at 5.8K. The active user count varied significantly, with highs of 265K in early July and lows of 165K in mid-August, showing a resurgence to 202K by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Club Vue saw a steady download rate, starting at 5.9K and peaking at 7K in late July. Active users hovered around 63K to 72K, indicating stable user retention.
